Terry Thompson

Terry Don Thompson, of Ponca City, OK, was called home early Monday morning, on June 1st, 2026. He had just turned 68. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will take place at 10:00 am, Friday, June 12, 2026, at the Carolyn Renfro Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK, 74601.

Terry, aka Towey (by his closest friends), was a life-long resident of Ponca City. He was the owner of Triple T convenience stores for 40+ years and was well known by many people in the community. He was a diehard OU fan and never missed a game if he could help it. Anytime he was bored you could find him at Osage Casino, playing slots. He loved fishing and if they were big enough, he was showing them off. He also loved to golf, although he may not have been very good at it. Playing on softball leagues at Willow Springs was another past time sport he loved and played until he couldn’t any longer. He coached soccer for his daughter's (Molli's) team for over 6 years.

He was the best dad and lived his life for his 3 girls, and would do anything for them. There are plenty of good memories to hold the daughters over until they see him again. He was Papa to all his grandkids and great-grandkids, and you could see how much he loved them by the smile on his face. On Easter Sunday of this year, everyone went to his house to eat and hunt Easter eggs. The girls will never forget the look of joy he had on his face that day.

There was just something about that guy. He was the best friend and boss you could ever ask for, and was always there when you needed him without fail. Though you might’ve gotten cursed out for being a ‘dumbass’, you always knew he said it with love. Terry will be forever missed by those whose lives he touched and it will never be the same without him.

He has earned his wings and has been reunited with his baby girl, Kristen, his parents, and his siblings. Terry is survived by his 2 daughters, Sally and Molli, both of Ponca City; his grandkids, Joel, Jeremiah & wife, Josie, of Wyoming, Adriel & wife, Somara, Blazen, Kylei & husband, Tyler, of Oklahoma City, Savannah of Tulsa, Alyssa, Landon, Lennox, Liam and Lyle; and his 6 great-grandkids. Fly high dad until we meet again.
