Shayla Ariel Crawford, 37 years old, of Lexington, Oklahoma, but now having lived in Moore, Oklahoma, passed away on September 9, 2026 at 5:35 AM from breast cancer with her husband, Jeremiah Crawford by her side.
Shayla Ariel Crawford was born November 7, 1988 to parents Randy Deaton and Gloria Parker. She graduated from Purcell High School.
Shayla Ariel Deaton married Jeremiah Adam Crawford on November 23, 2021 in Oklahoma City. They were married for five years, but were together for a total of twenty-two years.
According to Jeremiah, Shayla was the kindest, sweetest, most loyal person he had ever met. He loved her ever since he first laid eyes on her, and he will love her forever. Shayla was the most amazing, beautiful woman he had ever met.
She was a homemaker, and loved keeping things clean and organized. She also loved working out, staying fit, going for walks, and watching scary movies from the 80s. She loved lounging with her cats Phoenix, CoCoPuff, Combo, and George; her dog, DeLorean; and with her husband, Jeremiah Crawford.
A public visitation will be held from 3:00 — 6:00 PM, Thursday, September 17, 2026 at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Norman, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, September 18, 2026, at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Norman, with Rev. Jack Syverson officiating. Burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, in Norman.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Moore Animal Welfare and Adoption Center.
