Serafina C. Combi, age 98, longtime resident of New Jersey, more recent resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on October 7, 2026 at the Renaissance in Ponca City, Oklahoma.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Friday, October 16, 2026 at 10 o'clock in the morning with Reverend Alex Kroll officiating. Sera will be laid to rest in New Jersey at a later time.
Serafina was born on June 2, 1928 in Toms River, New Jersey to Oresti and Ermalinda (Repetti) Conti. She grew up in Toms River, NJ and graduated from Toms River High School in 1945. In June of 1947, right after she turned 18, Sera excitedly married Naldo Combi. Together they had two sons, Douglas and Richard. Sera was very thorough in her job as a tax collector for the county government, and yet her kindness meant that she was always well liked. She was a volunteer at the food pantry every Friday for as long as she was physically able to do so and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. Her favorite pastimes included ceramics and spending time with her family and friends.
Sera is survived by her son, Richard and his wife Karen; her granddaughter, Sara; and her great-granddaughters, Noelle and Caroline. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Naldo; her son, Douglas; and her sisters, Olga and Renie.
