Mayetta was one of 5 siblings, Lloyd, Jerry, Peggy, and Roger who all grew up to have families of their own. Mayetta loved having a large family! Mayetta married Chester Fowler on October 12th, 1973 at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church. Chester also had many siblings, so together their family grew. Together they made their home in North Central Oklahoma. Mayetta was a hard worker! Mayetta loved her grandkids more than anything in this world. She loved taking them to the library, the pool, and to church- and she always bought them lunch afterward! She enjoyed going to their events, taking them shopping, and keeping them when they were home sick from school. Mayetta enjoyed working in the yard, taking care of animals, and reading in her healthier days. She was truly one of the kindest women you will ever meet!
Mayetta spent her final years living with her granddaughter, Karson. Karson was a wonderful caretaker to Mammy and Mammy loved having the great-grands running through the house. Mayetta thought her grandkids were the best- until they had kids. She loved hearing the giggles from Max, Kynlee, Karver, Blakely, Slater, and Bayler as they asked for snacks, played hide and seek, or watched something funny. She especially loved sneaking candy or other snacks to them. Mammy didn’t know the word “no.”
