
Lottie Louise Dorman died Sunday, May 10, 2026. She was 92 years old. Lottie had enjoyed her home at Creekside Village since 2022.
Born Dec. 4, 1933 in Alex, OK, she was the daughter of Ernest and Ethel Mills. She graduated from Rush Spring High School in 1952.
She met Darrell Dorman the love of her life in high school. They were married in Rush Springs on Aug. 3, 1950. They were very proud to celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2000. Darrell died unexpectedly on June 13, 2001.
After supporting Darrell as he served in the Army and completed his college degree, they moved to Ponca City in 1958 where Darrell worked at Conoco.
Lottie worked for the Ponca City Schools from 1968 to 1977. She was secretary at the Ponca City High School for most of those years.
She and Darrell owned the Bijou boutique for several years. She later worked as the receptionist for Dr. Gary Hill. She was also a member of various organizations over the years.
Lottie’s favorite part of life was being with her grandchildren and watching them grow to be adults. She attended as many of their activities as she could.
Surviving are her children, daughter Linda Dorman of Overland Park, KS; son and daughter-in-law Dr. Gary and Marta Dorman of Liberty, MO; grandchildren Kelly Walters, Whitney Henke and Andrew Dorman; and five great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by Darrell, her parents and two brothers.
