Le Ann Diamond

Le Anna Sue (Balduff) Diamond, 85, of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away on July 23, 2026, at her residence, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. A funeral service will be held at Trout Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00PM on Friday, July 31, 2026. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave. Ponca City, OK 74601.

Le Anna was born May 1, 1941, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, to Marion Albert Balduff, Sr. and Bernice "Bunny" Lynette (Underside) Balduff. She grew up in Marland, Oklahoma, and attended the Marland Public School. The family relocated, and she went on to attend several other schools before graduating at Southeast High School in Wichita, KS, class of 1959. After high school she moved to California, where she married John R. Kiker, in La Mesa, CA. in 1959. They went on to have 3 children; John A. Kiker, Gregory A Kiker, and Robert A. Kiker. She met her 2nd husband, James P. Diamond in San Diego, CA and they married in 1964 in Escondido, CA., where they had one child together, Rachelle "Shelley" Diamond. Years later, in 1986, Le Anna married a 3rd time to Howard "Red" Smith in Las Vegas, NV, and divorced shortly after.

Le Anna loved all kinds of music, and was an excellent dancer in her earlier years. She enjoyed reading books, watching crime dramas, going to the movie theater, and she was an excellent cook and baker. She was a devoted mother who raised 4 children on her own, while working full-time.

In California, after her children were raised, Le Anna decided to move back to Oklahoma, and went on to purchase her original family farm in Marland, Oklahoma in 1997, where she spent much of her time working and maintaining the 85 acre farm. She was very fond of the farm, and this was home to her. She found joy in planting hundreds of trees by hand, feeding the birds, planting flowers, mowing the land, raising many different farm animals, and horses. She also raised AKC Registered Chihuahuas which she loved, devoted, and cared for more than 30 years.

Le Anna worked many various jobs over the years, including 10+ years of service at Phillips/Conoco, Gateway Computers/Sykes Enterprises, Wal-Mart, and also as a bartender in her earlier years in California. In Marland, Oklahoma, she went on to work in public service as Town Clerk and Treasurer for the Town of Marland, before her retirement.

Le Anna is survived by her daughter, Shelley Diamond, of Ponca City, Oklahoma; her sons, John Kiker of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Gregory Kiker and his wife Natasha Kiker of Green Cove Springs, Florida, and Robert "Bob" Kiker and his wife Carol Kiker of Marland, Oklahoma; her sister, Beulah "Boe" Tate (Balduff) Landfield, of Yorba Linda, California.

She is also survived by her grandchildren: Leon J. Diamond, Darian A. Bay-Diamond, Katrina Nicole (Carmona) Kiker Ramsey and husband Jake Ramsey, Robert T. Kiker, Brittany A. Kiker, Alysia Kiker, Margaryta Beril Gonzalez and husband Owen Gonzalez, Daniel Beril; along with many great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her nephew, Steven Robert Balduff of Norman, Oklahoma; and her nieces and nephew, Sherry Davis, Elise Davis, and Jackson Davis of Oklahoma City/Yukon, Oklahoma, Denise Slatin Maietta, Gregory Slatin Bennett and his wife Aksornsil Bennett, and Jimmy Slatin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, Anna Lee Rummage; Frank Underside, Beulah (Tate) Balduff; William F. Balduff; her sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Lynette (Balduff) Parent; her brother, Fred “Fritz” Robert Balduff and his wife Neva Balduff; her brother, Marion “Sonny” Albert Balduff and wife Charlotte; and her brother, William "Bill” Frank Balduff; Brett Davis; and Grand-children Rayne Diamond-Bay, and Carter Ramsey.

Le Anna had a heart of gold, with pure unconditional love and compassion for her family, and for her tiny companion dogs. She was as loyal and kind-hearted as they come. She always had a smile to greet everyone she met. She will be greatly missed.
