June 9, 1944 – August 14, 2026

Everett Moore

Everett passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026, at the age of 82. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.

Everett L. Moore was born June 9, 1944, in Longview, Texas, to Dr. Robert and Pauline Moore. When he was 3 years old, his family moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma, where he attended Ponca City Public Schools, graduating from Ponca City High School in 1962. He continued his education at Oklahoma State University and was later admitted to the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, where he received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 1966.

While attending school in Chicago, Everett met Nancy Murdock. The two married in 1969 and moved to Ponca City in 1972. In December of that year, they welcomed their daughter, Ann Kathleen Moore.

In Ponca City, Everett practiced as a podiatrist, but he especially enjoyed the time he spent with his family, including many hours with his daughter on the tennis courts. He was also very involved with First Presbyterian Church, served as a member of the Ponca City School Board, and gave his time to other civic organizations in the community.

In 1989, Everett separated from his wife and eventually moved to Arkansas City, Kansas. He began working at Rubbermaid Home Products in Winfield, Kansas, later moved to Winfield, and eventually retired from Rubbermaid.

Everett enjoyed reading, cooking, and bird watching, and he especially valued spending time with his friends and church family. Those relationships brought him companionship and happiness throughout his later years.

He is survived by his daughter, Ann Jackson and her husband, Scott, of Ponca City; his grandsons, Max Jackson and his wife, Karissa, Grant Jackson, and Reed Jackson; and his granddaughter, Jill Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Pauline Moore, and his brother, George Moore.
