Donna Kay McGinty, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and faithful servant of God, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2026. She was born May 6, 1943, to Delbert and Mildred Jones in Ponca City, OK.
Donna grew up and attended the Ponca City school system, she met the love of her life, Douglas McGinty, on April 7, 1962, and they made Ponca City their home. Donna was a lifelong member of Second Baptist Church, where her faith was an important part of her life. She led her women’s Sunday school group for many years and faithfully served her church and the people she loved. Above all, Donna cherished her family. She never missed an opportunity to support her grandchildren, proudly attending their ball games, concerts, recitals, and other special events. She found great joy in being present for the people she loved and celebrating their lives and accomplishments. She was known for her gentle spirit, kind heart, and unwavering love for her family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Douglas McGinty, in 2011, and her sisters, Carol and Tressia.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Kevin McGinty and wife Janet, and daughter, Lori Jones and husband Kevin; grandchildren Sarah Rogers, Jared McGinty and wife Sidney, Emma Zortman and husband Derrick, and Sabrina Jones; and great-grandchildren Colt Rogers, LucyMay McGinty, Oliver McGinty, and Elyse Zortman.
Donna leaves behind a legacy of faith, kindness, and unconditional love. Her family will forever treasure the countless ways she showed up for them and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
