Rev. Dale E. Schatz, 89, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, entered Heaven's gates with his family by his side lovingly sharing this time of God's choosing on Saturday, July 11, 2026.He entered this world on September 27, 1936 in Berlin Heights, Ohio, born to Lawrence and Elsie Knittel Schatz.Dale grew up in Ohio and graduated from Amherst Central High in 1954, he then attended Cedarville College and subsequently Grand Rapids Bible College and Seminary in Michigan. He was ordained into the ministry at Faith Baptist Church of Amherst, Ohio in 1964. Dale met the love of his life, Gwen, while in high school. They were married on August 25, 1956.A life of service defined Pastor Schatz, his beloved wife Gwen and their family. Church planting, camp ministry, and missionary work dominated their years of service to the Lord Jesus Christ. It is an example of servant leadership and humility in dedication to others.Greeting Dale upon his arrival in Glory are his parents, brother Darryl Schatz, mother and father-in-law Carrie and Raymond Bruce, brother-in-law Ray Bruce, and son-in-law Steven Black.Those left behind to cherish his memory are loving wife Gwen of the home, daughter Dawn Black of Bentonville, AR, son Ken Schatz and wife Linda of Greensboro, NC, son Craig Schatz and wife Andrea of Ponca City, OK, daughter Dayle Shewmaker and husband Daniel of Bentonville, AR, 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and Ohio siblings Roger Schatz (Gaynelle), Ryllis Bores (Robert), and Rhoda Entwistle (Matthew).The family would like to thank the ICU physicians and nursing staff at Mercy Hospital of Northwest Arkansas in Rogers for their excellent care and love at this time.In lieu of flowers, memorials to Heritage Baptist Church are requested.
