Cheryl Wilson

Cheryl Ann Wilson, of Marland, Oklahoma, was born December 8, 1954, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, to Dwain Elwood Dye and Ruth Irene Dye. She graduated from Ponca City High School in 1973, during which time she was an avid 4-H Member and leader. After graduation, Cheryl went on to devote 41 years of her career to Conoco-Phillips.

On August 24, 1973, Cheryl married Dennis Lee Wilson. Together, they shared more than five decades of marriage, building a life centered around family, home, and the people they loved.

Cheryl found happiness in the simple things that made a house and a piece of land feel like home. She loved sewing and baking, spending time fishing, tending her garden, and mowing the yard on her Grasshopper mower. She especially enjoyed country life and caring for her goats, chickens, dogs, mini horses, alpacas, llamas, cows, rabbits, and donkeys.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Dennis Wilson of the home; her daughters, Lindsey Keeler and husband Matthew of Ponca City and Deidra Wilson of Marland; her twin sister, Carol Andrews of Ponca City; and her brothers, Larry Dye of Ponca City and Dennis Dye and wife Stephanie of Ponca City.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Dylan Wilson and girlfriend Rhiannon Morales of Marland, Trevor Westfall of Yukon, Kayleigh Houk and husband Ethan of Marland, Austin Keeler of Ponca City, and Jordan Westfall and wife Charity of Yukon; her great-grandson, Wesley "Roscoe" Houk of Marland; as well as Layla Morales, Genevive Fife, Reagan Westfall, and Laken Snapp, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and members of the extended family.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth Irene Dye and Dwain Elwood Dye.

Serving as pallbearers will be Darrel Dye, Brian Dye, Chad Wilson, Rowdy Andrews, Lane Dye, Jeremy Dye, Dylan Wilson, and John Aaron McKinley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jordan Westfall, Ethan Houk, Austin Keeler, Trevor Westfall, Wesley "Roscoe" Houk.

Cheryl will be remembered for the life she built, the family she loved, and the countless everyday moments that became treasured memories for those fortunate enough to know her. Her love and influence will remain with her family for generations to come.

A celebration of Cheryl’s life will be held at Community Christian Church in Ponca City, OK, Thursday, September 3rd, 2026 at 2:00pm, followed by the Internment at Red Rock Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.
