Charles “Mitch” DeRoin

Mitch graduated from Enid High School and then served in the Army. He was a VietNam veteran. He then attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University, in Alva. Mitchell worked for the Frisco Railroad for several years before joining the Office of Environmental Health and Engineering, in the Pawnee branch of OK IHS. He retired in 2007.

Mitch found great enjoyment being with his family, going out to hunt and fish, and watching sports. His family and friends remember him as a quiet, kind, gentle, and loving man. He had a great sense of humor, and was someone they could always depend upon.

Mitchell was predeceased by his parents; brother, Elray; and nephew, Jackie. Survivors include his wife, Frances Warrior, Sherman Warrior; daughter, Sara; three sisters, Michele, Ida, and Kenna, and one brother, Zachary; four nieces: Cody, Andria, Alicia, and Julia; two nephews: Jeremy and Mitch El; five great-nieces: Ali, Ella, Ruby, Eloise, and Selene; and two great-nephews: Malcolm and Makai; and many close relatives and friends.

Mitch’s final resting place will be in the Otoe-Missouria Cemetery, Red Rock. A graveside service will be Saturday, July 25, at 2:00. Local arrangements are by Grace Memorial Chapel, Ponca City.
