Barbara Marie (Rust) Ebersole, age 59, of Perry, Oklahoma, was born on July 8, 1967, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Gerald and Juanita (Price) Rust.
She passed away on August 12, 2026, at Stillwater Medical Center in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Barbara grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and graduated from Memorial High School in 1985.
Barbara and Paul met while they both were attending Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in Miami OK. Barbara didn’t really fancy Paul as much as Paul fancied her while in Miami. It wasn’t until Barbara was attending OSU in 1992 and working at the Lake Carl Blackwell store did she notice Paul with his boat. The rest is history.
On June 19, 1993, she married Paul and made Perry, Oklahoma, her home. Together, they raised two sons, Garrett and Chandler.
During her life in Perry, Barbara made it a priority to participate in as many of her boys' school activities and sporting events as possible. She loved watching all the sports her boys played, and she enjoyed fishing, boating, crafting, drag racing, sprint cars, and off-roading in the many money-sucking off-road vehicles Paul could conjure up.
She worked for the YMCA and First Bank and Trust, and she finished her working life at the OSU Extension offices in Noble and Logan Counties.
She also served on the Perry City Council, where her tenacity and willingness to question government bureaucracy made a lasting impression. If you knew Barbara, you know exactly what that means.
Survivors include her husband of the home, Paul; her two sons, Garrett of Norman, Oklahoma, and Chandler of Morrison, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Juanita Rust, and her sister, Sharon Kay Brown of Galena, Missouri. Casket bearers will be announced.
