John Crimber, the #1 ranked Bull Rider in PBR, has entered the 101 Wild West Rodeo.
The 101 Wild West Rodeo has been held annually since 1959 at the historic 101 Rodeo grounds. It's a PRCA-sanctioned event featuring bull riding, bronc riding, barrel racing, steer wrestling, and team roping. The 101 Wild West rodeo is one of the region's most respected events and draws top competitors from across the country, and is attended by over 15,000 spectators over three days.
The rodeo increased its added money this year, creating the largest purse in the event's history—a draw for top competitors.
At 20, Crimber is the youngest rider in PBR history to earn $1 million. He won the 2026 PBR World Championship. He's a back-to-back PBR Team Series MVP. He was drafted No. 1 overall by the Florida Freedom. His father, Paulo Crimber, is a PBR Hall of Famer and 10-time World Finals qualifier. Paulo never won a championship. So, when John claimed the gold buckle at Dickies Arena, he dedicated it to his dad.
Crimber started on sheep, winning 20+ mutton busting titles with prizes that included a motorcycle and a cow in Brazil. By 18, he was rewriting PBR records. He owns 16 bulls. His career-high is a 95-point ride.
He's professional rodeo's brightest star, and he’s riding in Ponca City.

The rodeo lineup extends beyond the arena. The 101 Wild West Rodeo Concert Series features performers including Kevin Thomas, Tyler Halverson, and John King, brought to you by 7 Clans First Council Casino on the Stuteville Ford Lincoln of Ponca City stage. Thunder Girls perform Friday and Saturday. Governor Kevin Stitt is expected on Saturday. New this year, and in honor of America's 250th, the 101 Wild West Rodeo is offering free BBQ Thursday night with purchase of a rodeo ticket.
